What the multiplier applies to
A wagering requirement states how much qualifying play must occur before restricted promotional funds can become withdrawable. A 20× requirement can produce very different totals depending on whether it applies to the bonus only or to the deposit plus bonus.
The terms should identify the base, contribution rates, permitted games and completion window. If they do not, ask the operator before participating.

Wagering requirement examples
A $20 bonus with a 20× bonus-only requirement produces $400 in required qualifying play. If the same 20× multiplier applies to a $20 bonus plus a $20 deposit, the total becomes $800. The exact wording of the calculation base matters as much as the multiplier.
Game contribution can increase the effective amount. If a game contributes 10%, then $10 wagered on that game adds only $1 toward the requirement. Maximum-bet and excluded-game rules must also be followed while wagering.
